WHAT TO EXPECT The Daxxify Process
Consultation
When you come to Renaissance Dermatology & Aesthetics for Daxxify in Zachary, we’ll start with a consultation to better understand your aesthetic goals. Then, we’ll recommend an injectable to meet your needs.
Daxxify Treatment
Dr. Harrington will study your facial expressions and make light marks with a pen to indicate where we will inject. After a 10 to 15-minute injection process, you can leave our Zachary office and continue your normal activities.

We’ll answer any questions you may have and give you post-care instructions to maintain your results.
PRE-TREATMENT Pre-Care Instructions
Prior to Your Daxxify Treatment in Zachary, Renaissance Dermatology & Aesthetics Recommends:
If you are taking any of these medications under the direction of your doctor, be sure to speak with them before discontinuing.
10 Days Before
Avoid Aspirin (e.g., Bayer, Excedrin) and other blood-thinning medications (e.g., Vitamin E, Fish Oil) for at least 10 days before injections.
3 Days Before
Avoid Ibuprofen (e.g., Advil, Motrin) for 3 days before injections. Note: if you’re concerned about pain or bruising, you can take Tylenol before your appointment.
Zinc Supplements
Consider a zinc supplement in the weeks leading up to your Daxxify injections. Studies have shown that higher levels of zinc could be related to higher efficacy of Daxxify and other injectables.
Avoid Alcohol
Avoid alcohol for 2 days prior to injections. Alcohol can thin the blood and cause bruising during treatmen
Hydrate
Make sure your skin is properly hydrated by drinking water and using moisturizer twice a day.
POST TREATMENT Post-Care Instructions
Following Your Daxxify Treatment in Zachary, Renaissance Dermatology & Aesthetics Recommends:
No Touching/Massaging
No touching or massaging the injection site to avoid moving the injectable around.
Stay Upright
Keep your head upright for at least 4 hours to help reduce swelling and speed up the recovery process.
Sunlight/Sunscreen
Avoid strenuous activity or aerobics for 24 hours after your injections.
The results of Daxxify can last 6 to 9 months, depending on the patient’s skin type and the severity of wrinkles.
Daxxify injections use a very small needle, so pain is minimal. However, we do offer a topical anesthetic if you have concerns about pain.
