WHAT TO EXPECT The Jeuveau Process
Consultation
Before your appointment at Renaissance Dermatology & Aesthetics for Jeuveau in Zachary, we will first provide a thorough consultation to make sure you are an ideal candidate for injections, and to discuss your goals. If you’re a candidate, we will provide a recommendation for which injectable will best meet your needs.
Jeuveau Treatment
We will then study your facial expressions and make light marks with a pen to indicate precisely where we will be making the injections. Since we utilize thin, tiny needles, most patients report feeling minimal to no discomfort. We can provide topical anesthetic as necessary to ensure your comfort. After a 10 to 15 minute injection process, you will be able to leave our Zachary office and continue your normal activities.

After your treatment, we’ll give you instructions on the best ways to maintain your results and schedule any follow-up appointments you need.
PRE-TREATMENT Pre-Care Instructions
Prior to Your Jeuveau Treatment in Zachary, Renaissance Dermatology & Aesthetics Recommends:
Hydrate
Ensure your skin is properly hydrated by drinking adequate water and using moisturizer morning and night.
10 Days Before
Avoid aspirin (E.g., Bayer, Excedrin) and other blood-thinning medications (E.g., vitamin E, fish oil) for at least 10 days before injections. If you are taking this medication under your doctor’s direction, be sure to speak with them for permission before discontinuing it.
3 Days Before
Avoid ibuprofen (E.g., Advil, Motrin) for 3 days before injections. Note: if you’re concerned about pain or bruising, you can take Tylenol before your appointment.
2 Days Before
Avoid alcohol for 2 days before injections as this can also thin the blood and cause bruising during treatment.
POST TREATMENT Post-Care Instructions
Following Your Jeuveau Treatment in Zachary, Renaissance Dermatology & Aesthetics Recommends:
No Touching/Massaging
Don’t touch or massage the injection site to avoid moving the injectable around.
Stay Upright
Keep your head upright for at least 4 hours after treatment.
Avoid Sun Exposure
Avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen when outside, as UV rays can disperse the injectable faster in your skin, making the effects shorter.
Avoid Strenuous Activity
Avoid strenuous activity and aerobics for 24 hours after your injections.
Frequently Asked Questions
Just one Jeuveau treatment session can provide you with full results, but sessions will need to be repeated every 4 months to maintain results.
Some patients notice a difference almost immediately after treatment. Results become more visible over the following couple of days after treatment.
The results of Jeuveau generally last up to 6 months depending on the patient’s skin type and the depth and severity of wrinkles and fine lines.
These injections don’t take long! You can be in and out of our office in 30 minutes or less.
The injections utilize a very small needle, so pain is minimal. The majority of our clients feel only a slight sting that is very tolerable. We can provide you with topical anesthetic if you have concern about pain.
